To provide skills to machine officers to guarantee the availability of production and propulsion systems for Arctic and Offshore Patrol Ships (AOPS), the naval fleet responsible for guarding and monitoring compliance with navigation rules on the route opened between Russia and Canada due to global warming at the Arctic Pole.

How to enable 3rd cycle primary school students to learn about astronomy in an interactive way?

Create an interactive 3D learning environment representing the solar system.

Augmented reality.

User benefits

Understanding of the scientific approach to astronomy by Cycle 3 primary school students. Discovery of the variation of the duration of the day, at a given date for points located at different latitudes but on the same longitude and for a point located at a given latitude but on different dates.

To learn by experimentation the equality of day and night during the equinoxes, the longest day (or night) during the solstices.

To discover the apparent movements of the Sun changing during the seasons: directions of rising and setting, height of culmination and others.

Realization with the teachers of the Jura during 8 months.

How to more easily convey the history of the Battle of Verdun to tourists?

A life-size Virtual Reality experience superimposed on a lost heritage reconstructed in 3D.

The technologies used

Augmented reality.

User benefits

Immersive experience in the destroyed village of Vaux-Devant-Damloup on the battlefield of Verdun where all the peoples of the world fought. The reconstructed virtual world is positioned on the GPS coordinates of the original village. The magnetic north is fixed during the whole experience of the visitors. The POIs are the scenarios of historical facts confirmed by historians.

Develop a 3D scan of the entire platform and 3D modeling of the spaces concerned, not forgetting the integration and development in situ.
